Shame - Biography
Shame's band – Marco, Andrea and Marcus – was born in 1997 near Milan (Italy). During the following five years the band is determined to build its own personal identity that, though very influenced by the early Nineties Seattle Sound, really shows a sort of purity and integrity.

This attitude offers Shame the opportunity to make various gigs on the most important alternative circuits of the Lombardy and gives birth to the unfledged two-track production “Promo 2000” – repeatedly aired by Radio Popolare.

On 2002 drummer Marcus gives up the project and his place is taken by Simone. Just a few months is enough to create and product “Sad”, a five-track Ep that, behind a very recognizable sound core, gives a precise idea of the evolution the band is in process to achieve.

On 2003 Shame line-up finally fixes when Veronica (previously member of Screaming Elf and Lana) becomes the definitive drummer and, during the following three years, the band works purposefully to merge its real “first” album.

Shame’s rugged sound is still very perceptible and, at the same time, is enriched by a brand new maturity which is both musical and personal.“Gone”, the album that will be released at the end of 2007, is the embodiment of a now well-defined identity: eleven tracks able to sound solid, powerful, detailed and to mix carefully a visceral post grunge with melody.

Shame is now oriented to make its music available to a wide audience, and is looking for a label that can valorize its sonic soul.
